Gurjun balsam oil is manufactured by the process of steam distillation of the roots and rhizomes or stems, or from the fruit or seeds of the gurjun balsam tree. This special tree of gurjun has its origination from Malaysia and is widely grown for its uses. It belongs to Dipterocarpaceae family and is also a member of Sesquiterpenes chemical family.Gurjun balsam oil is a clear free flowing liquid of pale yellow colour.
