The Frankincense plant belongs to the plant family Buseraceae and is native to Egypt. The plant grows up to 4 to 5 meters and sometimes even exceeds to 6 meters. Frankincense bears flowers that are pink and white in color and the plant's trunk is smooth. It bears pinnacle leaves and the branches are yellow in color. Frankincense oil is derived by steam distilling the resin of the plant. The final product is light yellow in color and has a spicy camphor-like fragrance. The oil is blessed with various therapeutic properties which can help in curing various kinds of health problems. It can also be used to provide relief from high levels of stress and anxiety.

Uses
- Frankincense is a resin that is derived from the Boswellia serrata plant for its aroma. The oil of Frankincense is used extensively in aromatherapy. The oil can be rubbed on the temples on the forehead or wrists to be used as a natural perfume. The oil can also be applied on palms, around mouth and nose for inhalation.
