Camphor oil is extracted from Camphor, which in turn is extracted from camphor trees. There are two types of Camphor trees which are used to cut Camphor. One of the most peculiar aspects of camphor oil extraction is that it can be achieved only when the tree is 50 years old. This is because there is an element in this tree that needs to be activated before extracting the oil. If the oil is extracted without activating this element, then camphor oil will lose all its medicinal benefits and also various other properties. However, once this ingredient is active, it is present in most part of the plant, thus the use of this oil can be maximized.
