Coconut is known for its vast number of uses from food to cosmetics. The inner part of the coconut is an edible flesh that is sweet in flavour. The fruit also contains water that carries various benefits for the skin. To obtain the virgin or pure coconut oil, the inner flesh of coconut is cold pressed. The liquid that is obtained is clear to white in color and has fresh and mildly sweet aroma. The virgin coconut oil is free of refinement, deodorization or hydrogenation.
