Curry tree is tropical and subtropical in the family Rutaceae. Curry leaves are used in many dishes in Indian subcontinent. Curry tree is a small tree, growing 4-6 m tall, with a trunk up to 40cm. The plant produces small white flowers, which can self, pollinate to produce small shiny seeds.

Curry tree plants finds it suitable to grow in warm and humid surroundings and in tropical and subtropical heat. It needs full sun and moderate watering to thrive. It is a slow grower plant and in starting reaches a height of 6-10 inches in the early days. This plant doesn't in even in the drought conditions, extreme temperatures, and infertile soil. Curry tree is found almost all over India p to an altitude of 1500m.
