Steam Distilled Peppermint Oil
Mentha piperita, often known as brandy mint or balm mint, is the source of peppermint essential oil. Oil is extracted from the entire plant above ground, and that too before it begins to blossom. The oil is extracted using a steam distillation process that uses both fresh and partially dried plants. Peppermint is a perennial herb with hairy, serrated leaves grouped in a conical shape that is endemic to the Mediterranean.
