Gurjun Balsam Essential Oil
Gurjun balsam essential oil is manufactured by the process of steam distillation of the roots and rhizomes or stems, or from the fruit or seeds of the gurjun balsam tree. This special tree of gurjun has its originated in Malaysia and is widely grown for its uses. It belongs to the Dipterocarpaceae family and is also a member of the Sesquiterpenes chemical family. Gurjun balsam essential oil is a clear free-flowing liquid of pale yellow color. It emits fresh woody and spicy aroma which is sweet and refreshing. The therapeutic properties of gurjun oil include antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and a number of other cosmetic uses.
