Garlic essential oil is extracted using steam distillation from the bulbs of the garlic plant. It is a perennial plant having white-colored flowers, small flat leaves, and bulbs. It gives a very strong pungent odor along with being a hardy, bulbous and rooted plant. There are usually 6 to 34 bullets in every compound bulb of the tree which are usually called 'cloves'. These cloves are usually present on a white sheet. The garlic oil is extracted from these very bulbs. It has a very strong and overpowering smell. It is used for making medicines for various ailments as it has great medicinal value. Apart from its medicinal properties, it is also considered extremely nutritive.
