I love Helichrysum essential. I use it on my sore neck and for chronic pain. Helichrysum can unknot those muscles and I rub it into my neck straight with no carrier oil when I'm hurting. I do find relief for it. Helichrysum works on musculoskeletal pain - joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles. You can also add a few drops into a carrier oil like coconut or almond and use it as a wonderful massage oil. I also put this on burns after I've added lavender oil first for it's healing properties. Bonus tip: Put lavender oil on a burn - You cannot imagine the difference in pain levels, it is magic.
